Paul D. Streck, M.D., joined Albireo in December 2022 as Chief Medical Officer. He has 25 years of development, medical affairs, and marketing experience at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Alder Biopharmaceuticals, Insmed, GSK, Shire, and Amgen USA, and 10 years in academic medical practice. Paul’s expertise spans all phases of biopharmaceutical development, global regulatory interactions, negotiations, and approvals, and building highly effective organization. In addition, Paul has a significant understanding of reimbursement and commercialization across a wide range of therapeutic areas, resulting in meaningful value creation. Over the course of his career, Paul played a leading role in the development, approval, launch, and marketing of 30 medications across many therapeutic areas, directed successful global regulatory submissions for 7 products, managed, and supported development of 5 INDs, and 9 commercial launches.

Paul received an MBA from Duke University and an M.D. from Jefferson Medical College.
