Financial assistance provided to independent third parties to support accredited educational symposia, seminars and/or sessions for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) where the grant recipient is solely responsible for developing the content and managing the educational program.
Financial support in the form of money, goods, or other items of value to a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the U.S. or equivalent non-profit organization in Europe to support activities where the primary focus is fundraising or charity. Specifically, Healthcare Organization Donations are those made to organizations which provide healthcare-related support to individuals including patients and caregivers.
Financial assistance provided to independent third parties to support unaccredited educational activities and events provided to patients, caregivers, payer providers and other non-HCP individuals.
Financial support in the form of money, goods or other items of value to a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization in the U.S. or equivalent non-profit organization in Europe to support activities where the primary focus is fundraising or charity. Specifically, Community Donations are those made to organizations which focus on supporting a geographical area, primarily by facilitating and pooling donations used to address community needs.
Financial assistance provided to unsolicited research originating from an external sponsor entity, institution or organization including studies also known as investigator sponsored research (ISR), expert-initiated research (EIR) or any other term which may reference investigator-sponsored or investigator-initiated research.
A mutually-beneficial agreement between Albireo and participating third party organizations in which Albireo provides financial support for conferences, meetings, programs and/or events in exchange for a commercial benefit.
In addition, our new grant-based program, SPARK, was established to encourage new ideas with the potential to demonstrate best practices in patient-centered care for patients with rare liver diseases. See below for more information on the SPARK program.
SPARK is an exciting new grant-based program established by Albireo to identify and drive forward improvements in the quality of care for rare liver diseases, beginning with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC).
